The big lifestyle win from Mike Tyson impressed me
Welcome to another article from Strength by Fitness.
Mike Tyson vs Paul was, as most had expected, not a great boxing match. It, however, wasn’t terrible either by pro boxing standards. MMA in the UFC and One Championship makes for much more entertaining fight events.
But the value of the entertainment is not the purpose of this article. What I want to say is that Mike Tyson impressed me, and more importantly he should inspire countless of people around the world.
Now, why did Tyson impress me?
“Mike Tyson’s big lifestyle win at 60 years of age is impressive and positive, and something for all to take with them, because this could be your health-promoting lifestyle change too”.
Coach Mike, Strength By Fitness
Chronological age really is just a number not worthy of your attention or anxiety.
I am seeing some defeatist negative viewpoints that “age clearly matters” being thrown around as a response to Mike losing the actual fight.
As if it was delusional to even try a comeback or to hope that a 58-year-old could defeat a 27-year-old.
But no, I am sorry.
That’s putting your head under your arm because the fairly even but uneventful fight itself didn’t even matter.
The lifelong chain that is the cause & consequence of our daily lifestyle is what matters and this is why Mike Tyson impressed me, and why he should inspire you too.

Paul has spent the last decade living a fit and active lifestyle in and outside the boxing ring.
Training every week, keeping fit, and progressing his skills and fitness level. Actually fighting real fights and paying attention to his own progress, assessing and adapting.
During this healthy, and active fitness time, the big bearded Paul brother has managed to put down several decent high-level mma guys at the tail end of their careers inside the boxing ring.
Tyson on the other hand has spent at least 28 years doing nothing.

Habits do not lie.
Instead of training and eating healthy, and being a healthy human being, Tyson has spent almost 3 decades being a sedentary slob, eating horrible crap food, drinking, doing drugs, and neither training nor taking care of himself.
In short, he has been living the unhealthy and harmful lifestyle of billions of out-of-shape, overweight, unhealthy, and obese people.
So the impressive thing here that you should be inspired by and feel hopeful about is the turnaround Mike has done over the last couple of years.

Another coach perspective, as I apply Tysons lifestyle change to all humans
The only impressive thing about the fight itself was how good he looked at age 58, after nearly 3 decades of living a shitty unhealthy life.
That is impressive and positive, and something for all to take with them.
Because you too can turn decades of poor and unhealthy choices around.
As showcased by Tyson, being 60 is not going to derail or slow down the immense change you can make in your life as far as health and fitness goes 💪💪😃.
And that is something every human on the planet should celebrate.
So what was a loss as far as the fight goes was by all accounts a big lifestyle win for Mike and for you too, because the takeaway for billions of people is that you too can rewind decades of poor lifestyle choices, and start making active, daily choices that will make the rest of your health span incredibly much healthier and fitter and good for your wellbeing, your body and your mind 👊👊.
Let that be your health-promoting takeaway from the Paul vs Tyson fight.
