Protein synthesis & its role in hypertrophy is, first of all, not the be-all, end-all of higher protein intake benefits.

So neither 1.6 nor 2.0g/kg/day represents a hard stop with no additional benefits from a higher protein intake. The reason why some people can claim that 1.6 is all that’s needed depends on how complete you want the conversation to be. But, when they make that claim, they are always, and only, talking about healthy, younger omnivores, and they are only looking at protein synthesis and hypertrophy. Seemingly doing so because they are convinced that human health, nutrition, and fitness never, ever go beyond these two things, and that everyone happens to be young, and an omnivore.

This is based on an incomplete understanding, or at least a limited perspective, on food, health, aging, and fitness.

2. We offer better measurable adherence, support, and fact-based help, and coaching that builds real, measurable results over time. This leads to a much higher degree of better lifelong habits. Most people who train on their own or sign up for a traditional 1 or “8-session” personal training/nutritional coach package in the gym will quit their healthier habits sooner than later once they stop working with their expensive per-session coach. And when people give up and fall out of those healthy fit habits, almost all of the positive results & outcomes they had painstakingly achieved regress rapidly.

This is why lifelong adherence is the No. 1 pillar for building vastly better outcomes compared to most of humanity.

Those superior outcomes are not dependent on a fairy tale like perfection or on you having to exhaust yourself by tracking everything.

It’s all about finding those effective, fact-based big pillar choices and turning them into achievable habits that are easily ( not effortlessly but realistically and easily) maintained weekly, and daily for the decades yet to come.

4. For others, it’s about obesity and excess food intake. And we help with that, too. Over the years, we have worked with many obese and severely overweight clients who have achieved amazing results.

Seeing people lose a large amount of body fat while building a substantial amount of muscle mass, strength, mobility, and vastly better health outcomes and cardiovascular capacity is a very common thing with Strength By Fitness clients.

In fact, I have yet to see a single client fail at achieving these things. If that was part of their goals and needs.

5. But it can also be about mobility or injuries. We have worked with post-heart surgery clients. We have also had unfortunate clients who have needed our help after breaking their shoulder in a freak accident that left them with severely limited mobility and strength and excruciating pain.

6. For others, it’s the hedonistic sweet tooth and the failure to clean up their home environment. Or something completely different. Such as people’s excess alcohol consumption.
